Apolo is a Ugandan professional tour guide, safari driver-guide, and tourism entrepreneur with over 8 years of experience in East African tourism. He is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Hybrid Adventures Ltd, a licensed tour operator headquartered in Kampala, Uganda. The company organizes tailor-made safaris in Uganda, Rwanda, Kenya, and Tanzania.

He holds a Diploma in Tourism Management/Wildlife Management and is a certified driver-guide with extensive knowledge of East Africa’s national parks, primates, birds (over 1,000 species in Uganda), and cultural heritage.

Having led thousands of travelers — from backpackers to photographers such as Tseng Wen, Thomas Bill and Israel — he is known for calm driving on rough roads, deep knowledge of wildlife behaviour, honest communication, and genuine care for clients’ safety and comfort.

Through Hybrid Adventures, Apolo is committed to responsible tourism: working directly with local communities, supporting conservation in Bwindi and Kibale, and ensuring tourism benefits local families. When he is not on safari, you will find him in Bwindi planning tourism activities, drinking coffee, and checking his next group’s permits for gorilla and chimpanzee tracking.
